The Best Night Clubs in Auckland

Yeah, I know, it’s already Friday, and as all my mates, you want to drink few beers – or maybe more than just a few – before going out clubbing. But please, don’t keep going to the same one, there are plenty of options to make the most of your night out! Let me tell you a few of the best places you should go to if you want to enjoy your weekend. Cause it’s what everyone wants, right?

Impala

Known for bringing amazing international DJs, the Impala’s lineup also includes local DJs, everything you need to have a great night! Drink few of their shots, dance until 4 AM, then eat the traditional late night – or early morning – Macca’s before coming back home and sleep for the rest of the upcoming day!

Opening hours: Wednesday, Friday, Saturday 10PM – 4AM

7 Shortland St, Corner High St & Shortland St, CBD

Ponsonby Social Club

Right in the middle of Ponsonby, just a short walk away from Ponsonby Central, this very chic nightclub welcomes local and international DJs for some sick beats every week. One piece of advice: come early, as it can get quite busy after midnight!

Opening hours: every day 5PM until late

152 Ponsonby Road, Ponsonby

TwentyOne – SKYCITY

You can’t leave Auckland without experiencing the Twenty One once. This luxurious and sophisticated place is almost as amazing as its DJ offering. Consider a short but intense predrink before heading to the TwentyOne, as the drinks there can get expensive!

Opening hours: Wednesday to Saturday, 5PM until late

Level 3, SKYCITY, Corner of Federal and Victoria Streets, 72 Victoria St, CBD

Family Bar

This emblematic bar in the heart of K road welcomes the LGBT club scene, with great drag queens shows and a karaoke room. Definitely your go-to nightclub if you want to discover at least for one night the drag queen culture with great music!

Opening hours: every day 9AM – 4AM

270 Karangahape Road, CBD/Ponsonby

1885

Wanna have an early drink, then another one, and another one, before clubbing while you’re still in the same place? 1885 is the solution! This multilevel bar offers live music, DJs and a bar space in a contemporary and sophisticated atmosphere! With various rooms, your dance floor opportunities are more than just one and you will make the most of your night for sure!

Opening hours: Wednesday to Saturday 8PM until late

27 Galway St, Britomart, CBD

The Kingslander

Just a 5-minute walk from Eden Park train station, the Kingslander offers an all-inclusive offer: restaurant, bar and dancefloor! If you love salsa music, don’t be shy, come on a weekday and let shine your inner salsa soul surrounded by great company!

Opening hours: every day from 12 noon until late

470 New North Road, Kingsland
